Great to meet you!

I have practiced psychiatry with both adults and adolescents for over 30 years. I take an integrative approach to help the whole person with a focus on readiness for change and implementing changes to help you be as healthy as you can be. Medication is used carefully and not excessively.

My approach to therapy

I offer a supportive approach, but also focus on psycho-education, cognitive behavioral interventions and work toward changing lifestyle choices to optimize mental and physical health. I also have a background in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Medication prescribing and management is done with care and close monitoring with attention to best practices and standard of care guidelines.

What you can expect from me

In our initial session we will thoroughly review your current concerns, your past psychiatric history, your medical history, your social situation and your family history. I sometimes take 2 to 3 sessions before prescribing medicines, when possible. During this and the next 2 sessions we will begin formulating a plan for your treatment depending on your unique needs and preferences.
