As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, for close to three years, I have provided mental health psychotherapy and psychopharmacology to manage clients with Alcohol and Substance use disorder, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, BPD, Schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia, and patients with substance use disorder. It does not matter how long you have suffered from SUD.
During a medication management session, an assessment of your mental health, paying attention to a holistic approach and evidence based practice, review of medication options, effectiveness, and discussion of potential side effects. Adjustments to the medication plan are based on evidence-based. One part of my holistic care is active listening, non-judgmental, and the ability to educate clients about medications and encourage open communication to address concerns that align with the treatment plan.

Treating mental health requires building a therapeutic relationship with you and working as a team to provide healing. Clients struggling with mental require a holistic approach.
