Great to meet you!

I chose to become a psychotherapist following a full career in the military. I saw many soldiers not getting the help that I knew could help them. I decided to become part of the solution, reducing stigma and increasing access. I hold a Bachelor in Psychology and a Master in Social Work. I began my career in psychiatric hospitals and have continued full time employment with the VA and Army and part-time private practice.

My approach to therapy

Your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all interact to make you who you are. Everything you have been through is part of you. And you can decide what to do with it. Your emotions are an indicator, but do not have to be a dictator. You are active in your own mental health and recovery. You can achieve success in your personal life through clear vision and positive change.

What you can expect from me

You want to understand why you feel and act the way you do, and not be told what is wrong with you. I will collaborate with you and let you decide how to make incremental changes (if you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always have gotten).
