Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and educator with over 15 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families across diverse communities. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered therapy, creating a safe and welcoming space for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My work is grounded in empowerment and a strengths-based approach, helping clients build resilience and move toward more fulfilling lives.

In addition to my clinical work, I have served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of St. Thomas for the past nine years. My career is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and a deep understanding of the social and emotional needs of the individuals and communities I serve.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is centered on helping individuals overcome the challenges that interfere with their daily lives while fostering resilience, insight, and meaningful change. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and culturally responsive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences at their own pace.

I use an integrative and flexible approach, tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs, strengths, and goals of each client. My work draws from evidence-based practices including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also incorporate psychoeducation, mindfulness strategies, and skill-building to support clients in developing practical tools they can apply in their everyday lives.

I believe in partnering with clients as active participants in their healing process, emphasizing collaboration, cultural humility, and a strengths-based lens. My goal is to support individuals in building self-awareness, strengthening coping skills, and creating lasting, positive change that aligns with their values and lived experiences

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is meant to feel welcoming and supportive. It is a chance for us to get to know you as a whole person, not just focus on your concerns. During this session, we will begin building rapport, talk about what brings you to therapy, and start identifying your goals.

I will gently guide the conversation by asking about your current challenges, personal history, and what you hope to gain from therapy. At the same time, you will have space to share at your own pace. There is no pressure to tell everything at once—you are encouraged to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
