Great to meet you!

Welcome to therapy! I'm so glad you are here. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, but I don't just see married couples or families, I work with individuals who are interested in gaining more understanding of themselves in a world full of layers and systems that demand a lot from us and want us to do more and more. I work really well with folks who have symptoms that match depression, anxiety, mood related disorders, trauma related incidents, complex PTSD, and neurodivergent folks (Autism and ADHD). I am a part of the LGBTQIA population and I enjoy working with this group of individuals too.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to truly connect with you as an individual, what your hopes are in therapy, and together approach your situation as you are comfortable. I utilize many different approaches that are always trauma-informed including: Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths based approaches, Solution Focused, Internal Family Systems, and Neural Affective Relational Model (NARM). I tend to incorporate as much creativity and humor into any session as we get to know each other.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, you can expect me to be open, non-judgmental, curious, and excited to meet you. You'll hear many questions from me to get to know you, but you are not required to answer them if you aren't comfortable quite yet. I go at the pace you are comfortable.
