Great to meet you!

Hello everyone. Welcome and a pleasure to be here. I have been practicing mental health therapy for 25 years. I started in New Orleans and have now been licensed in 5 states. I am currently licensed in New Mexico, where I currently reside, and Kansas. I have worked in most all aspects of counseling, in many different settings. I have worked with just about every issue. My focus is on identifying core issues for awareness and processing, coupled with change strategies or suggestions that make sense and fall in line with personal preferences. I believe in a shared humanity, including everyone and excluding no one.

My approach is compassionate and inspirational- having an ability to dive deeply into the personal experiences and reality of others- coming out with important awareness and feedback based on each person's self-exploration and journey. I have travelled widely and have comfort and familiarity with a wide variety of cultural and social experiences.

I have a deep love of people. I believe we should all be able to live our best life, the one we choose, in alignment with our goals and values. The reality is that we are born into this world in a context- a family, community, cultural identity. These can be challenging. Our inner world is often equally challenging. I am here to help you navigate them both.

My approach to therapy

I have experience with and work with any and all issues. I do not believe we are compartmentalized beings, but whole with many interacting parts. Issues with which we struggle flow together, affect each other. Diagnoses can be helpful, however we are often many things- have a variety of challenges, but also strengths that can support and guide us through. Lets build on these.

What you can expect from me

On our first session I will want to know you as much as possible as a whole person. Some background, current situation, inner struggles... as much as possible getting a deep understanding of you as a whole being... then we can focus on specific things or areas of your life causing problems or issues.
