I specialize in complex trauma and attachment issues, primarily using EMDR and EMDR 2.0. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University (Phoenix) in 2014. I worked in community mental health for several years and have now worked in private practice for two years. I have received significant specialized education in trauma, EMDR, neurodivergence and narcissistic abuse.
I have developed the Tangled Roots Model, which is the convergence of undiagnosed neurodivergence during upbringing, complex trauma and a narcissistic or otherwise dysfunctional family system. At the center is the typical client I see. I create a clear plan for addressing the most substantial wounding by examining what symptoms are the most distressing and hard to cope with now. I have expertise in bipolar, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, sleep disturbance, perfectionism, self-consciousness, self-esteem issues, and many other manifestations of complex trauma.
In a first session, clients can expect lots of open-ended questions to zero in on what brings them into therapy, what their experience in therapy as been so far, and what they want to change or grow from their time in therapy. I will assure that my style and approach is a good fit for your need.
