Great to meet you!

I applaud you for taking time to help yourself feel more centered. It's not always easy to reach out, and sometimes it can feel downright terrifying. Whatever you're experiencing, it is meaningful, important and deserves to be explored further. This is often where the process begins, and is the start of healing.

I earned my professional licensure (LCMHC) in 2010, and I have been fortunate enough to meet and work with a diverse population of individuals and families ever since.

I earned my trauma focused therapy (TF-CBT) certification in 2012, which has allowed me to become skilled at working with individuals who have experienced trauma and the revolving door of emotions that can bleed into all aspects of our lives.

While I have over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families to process traumatic experiences, I have been narrowing my focus to work with (1) Individuals who identify as neurodivergent, and/or (2.) Women going through peri/postpartum depression/anxiety as well as perimenopause.

I am a strengths-based therapist who can offer unconditional positive regard throughout the therapeutic journey. I work well with individuals who have specific goals in mind, as well as people who are simply looking to increase joy and improve their overall quality of life.

My open-mindedness and inquisitive approach puts people at ease, and my ability to utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches allows me to better serve the people I work with.

My approach to therapy

I will meet you where you are, which is how I approach the therapeutic process. My approach is multi-modal, meaning that I can offer a variety of evidence-based approaches in my therapeutic work. While we often come to therapy with specific concerns in mind, there are often other concerns that come to light over the course of treatment. I am flexible enough in my approach to address individuals' unique concerns in a compassionate and attuned manner.

As we continue to work together, my approach can evolve with the needs of you, the person I am supporting. I also take into account important factors such as values and an individual's strengths, which help to shape the process. I have found that individuals' distinct values are often overlooked in the therapeutic process, even though values largely shape all aspects of our lives, including daily routines, perception formation, identity, and more.

What you can expect from me

Above all, I want to help you feel safe. It is only when we feel emotionally and psychologically safe and secure that we can truly make strides toward our deepest, most authentic needs and goals. Individuals often seek therapy prepared to address one or more concerns and in the process realize that addressing deeper, more historical core beliefs can lead to improvements in many other areas of one's life as well.

The beauty of therapy is that it can support individuals with all varieties of concerns while also providing the flexibility to shift course and evolve with the person.
