Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Raj Gill, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I've worked in healthcare for over 25 years and have seen firsthand how closely mental and physical health are interconnected. Those experiences inspired me to pursue a career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Having worked in acute care settings, I've seen how often people come in under stressful circumstances, and that experience has shaped my commitment to meeting each patient where they are. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns. I'll take the time to listen, understand your unique situation, and make sure you are involved in your treatment plan. Together, we'll build an individualized plan that may include medication, education, lifestyle strategies, and supportive therapy to improve your overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered care. I want to understand the big picture, including your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, sleep, daily routines, relationships, cultural background, and previous treatment experiences. When medication is appropriate, I will explain what it is for, how it works, the expected benefits, possible side effects, and how we will monitor and adjust it over time. I believe in combining medication with education, lifestyle strategies, and supportive therapy when helpful. Most importantly, I believe your treatment plan should be a partnership. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your concerns, and letting me know if something is not working. Together, we will work as a team toward your individual goals.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for me to understand you as a person, not just a list of symptoms. We will discuss what you are experiencing, how long you have been experiencing it, how it affects your daily life, and what you hope to gain from treatment. We will also review previous treatments, including medications, their effectiveness, and any side effects you may have experienced. By the end of the session, we will have a clearer understanding of my recommendations and next steps. If medication is appropriate, we will discuss what to expect, possible side effects, how we will monitor your response, and when we will follow up. If medication is not the best option, we will discuss other treatment approaches that may be more beneficial for you. My goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and confident in having a clear treatment plan that supports your individual needs and goals.
