My therapeutic style is direct yet deeply empathetic. I believe in being honest and clear, while also creating a warm, supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood. I work from an emotion-focused and person-centered perspective, meaning we pay close attention to how your emotions guide your experiences, and we center your values, strengths, and individuality throughout the process.
In our work together, I often draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on helping you build a meaningful life while learning to relate differently to painful thoughts and feelings. Instead of trying to avoid or 'fix' uncomfortable emotions, ACT helps you make space for them and take actions guided by your values.
I also take a holistic approach, considering the full picture of your mental, emotional, physical, and relational well-being.
