Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Randy LaMons, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Augusta University, which I earned in 2022. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and grow into the healthiest versions of themselves.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is direct yet deeply empathetic. I believe in being honest and clear, while also creating a warm, supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood. I work from an emotion-focused and person-centered perspective, meaning we pay close attention to how your emotions guide your experiences, and we center your values, strengths, and individuality throughout the process.

In our work together, I often draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on helping you build a meaningful life while learning to relate differently to painful thoughts and feelings. Instead of trying to avoid or 'fix' uncomfortable emotions, ACT helps you make space for them and take actions guided by your values.

I also take a holistic approach, considering the full picture of your mental, emotional, physical, and relational well-being.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a space that is both supportive and honest. I’ll encourage you to reflect on your experiences, not just to process them, but to understand how they shape your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I’ll gently challenge you when needed—helping you look at things from new angles, question old patterns, and stay accountable to your growth.

Together, we’ll explore what you truly value, what you need from yourself and others, and how to make choices that align with who you are and where you want to go."
