Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Dr. Raphael Omoto, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. I have been with Acumen Health LLC for three years, providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs.

At Acumen Health LLC, we specialize in treatment-resistant depression, ADHD assessment, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related conditions. For individuals who have not improved with traditional antidepressants, we offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): a structured, carefully monitored approach that combines ketamine treatment with psychotherapy to promote symptom relief and deeper emotional healing.

We provide comprehensive ADHD evaluations and medication management for adolescents and adults, focusing on improving attention, organization, and emotional regulation. We are also committed to creating a safe, affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals, offering inclusive, gender-affirming, and stigma-free care.

Our goal is to reduce symptoms, restore hope, and support lasting mental wellness through collaborative, personalized treatment.

My approach to therapy

We take an integrative, patient-centered approach to care, combining medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, and innovative treatments to support overall mental wellness. Our care is collaborative and individualized, with the goal of helping clients regain control of their mental health and improve quality of life.

We also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for individuals with treatment-resistant depression and complex mood disorders. KAP combines monitored ketamine treatment with structured therapy to promote faster symptom relief and deeper emotional healing when traditional treatments have not been effective.

We treat a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Mood Disorders: Depression, Bipolar Disorder
  • Anxiety Disorders: GAD, PTSD, Panic Disorder
  • Substance Use Disorders: Including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
  • Psychotic Disorders: Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder
  • ADHD & Behavioral Health Concerns

Our approach emphasizes safety, evidence-based practice, and compassionate, supportive care.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a compassionate, patient-centered experience focused on your well-being, goals, and unique experiences. We strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

We will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, reviewing your symptoms, history, and treatment goals. Whether you are facing treatment-resistant depression, ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma-related concerns, or other mental health conditions, the session is designed to build clarity and a strong foundation for care.

If appropriate, we may discuss options such as Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for individuals who have not responded to traditional treatments. ADHD evaluations are thorough and focused on attention, executive functioning, and daily impact. We also provide an affirming, inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ clients.

By the end of the session, we will develop a collaborative treatment plan with clear next steps to support your journey toward lasting mental wellness.
