Great to meet you!

Great to meet you!

I believe one of the most powerful things we can offer another person is the feeling of being understood and valued. Empathy is at the heart of my work. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where clients can be themselves without judgment. Feeling safe and accepted can create the space needed for meaningful growth and change.

My experience extends beyond outpatient therapy to working with children, adolescents, and young adults in school and residential settings. This has given me a deeper understanding of the many factors that shape a young person’s emotional and developmental growth within the context of their relationships, environment, and individual experiences.

I have supported clients in managing anxiety, depression, impulse control, school avoidance, and the complexities of trauma. I enjoy partnering with parents and caregivers, recognizing that supporting a child or adolescent is often a journey the whole family takes together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is both trauma-informed and strengths-based. I believe there is strength and potential in every person, even during times when it may be difficult to see. Together, we can explore concerns, build on existing strengths, develop resilience, and discover solutions that feel right for the client and the family.

When it feels helpful, I weave mindfulness practices and psychoeducation into our work. I offer gender-affirming therapy and strive to create a space where each person’s culture, identity, and life experiences are respected.

What you can expect from me

Our first few sessions offer a chance for you to share your story about what brings you to therapy, any historical information you feel helpful for me to know, and what your goals and wishes are. This is the laying of a foundation of a relationship where you feel welcomed, understood, and hopeful in having a path towards growth and better wellbeing.
