Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience working with parents, families and adolescents - primarily in schools across Maine and Illinois. Most of my career has been spent at that crossroads where young people struggle and where parents feel lost. I understand both sides of that situation deeply.

I specialize in supporting parents who are trying to help a child through anxiety, behavioral challenges, school struggles, or a mental health crisis - most of whom worry about how to do it without making things worse. Whether your teenager is shutting you out, your younger child's behavior is escalating, or you've just received a diagnosis you weren't prepared for, I can help you find a clearer, calmer path forward.

My approach to therapy

I bring a direct, practical, and compassionate approach. I'm trained in Motivational Interviewing and Restorative Practices, and I've spent years consulting with parents, teachers, and administrators on how to navigate some of the toughest situations families face - including crisis, self-harm and suicide risk.

I also work with adolescents directly when it's the right fit. If you're a parent wondering whether your teen should be the one in therapy, or whether you should be, or both - I am happy to talk it through.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation, not an evaluation. I'll ask about what's been going on, what's brought you to this point, and what you're hoping to get from our work together. You don't need to have it all figured out before we meet - that's what the first session is for. By the end, we'll have a sense of whether we're a good fit and what a path forward might look like.
