Great to meet you!

Welcome to Sego and Sage Counseling. Something in you knows it's time — maybe you've been carrying anxiety that narrows every room you walk into, navigating a relationship stuck in the same exhausting loop, or processing a life transition that's quietly dismantled your sense of self. You've kept functioning. But functioning isn't the same as feeling whole. Whether you're a teen figuring out who they want to be, or an young adult finally ready to stop managing and start actually changing — therapy can be where that shift begins.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in Utah, Idaho, and Kansas specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship patterns, and life transitions. I draw on IFS, somatic work, ACT, and EFT — not because they're trendy, but because they reach the places coping skills alone don't. Sessions are collaborative, honest, and tailored to you.

I offer telehealth across Utah, Idaho, and Kansas with evening and weekend slots designed for real schedules. I accept Select Health, Regence, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, Carelon, and other major plans. If you're ready to stop white-knuckling it and start building a life that actually fits — reach out. I'd love to connect.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy because no two people arrive with the same story.

I draw from evidence-based approaches—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based therapy, attachment-focused work, and somatic interventions—to help you understand not only what you're feeling, but why those patterns developed and how they can change. In practical terms, that means we'll work together to build effective coping skills while also addressing the deeper experiences that continue to shape your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self.

Whether you've been in therapy before or this is your first experience, I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely understood, challenged with compassion, and empowered to grow. Together we'll identify patterns, strengthen self-trust, improve relationships, and build practical tools that support lasting change—not just temporary relief.

What you can expect from me

Your first session isn't about having all the answers—it's about having a place to begin.

We'll spend time getting to know each other and talking about what's bringing you to therapy right now. You'll have the opportunity to share your concerns, ask questions, and tell me what you hope will feel different in your life. We'll also explore your strengths, important relationships, and goals so we can create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful.

You never have to worry about saying the "right" thing or having your story perfectly organized before we meet. Whether you're feeling anxious, emotionally exhausted, grieving, or simply know something isn't working anymore, we'll start where you are and move at a pace that feels supportive. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of hope and direction for the work ahead.
