Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Rebecca! I’m a licensed clinical social worker who believes therapy can be meaningful and productive without feeling stiff, intimidating, or overly clinical.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and have spent more than 10 years working in behavioral health, including crisis intervention and outpatient mental health. I’ve been providing outpatient therapy since 2015, working with people through some of the messiest, hardest, and most unexpected parts of life.

I specialize in trauma, PTSD, abuse, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and the lasting impact that difficult experiences can have on how we see ourselves and connect with others. I also provide couples counseling for partners who want to improve communication, work through conflict, rebuild trust, understand unhealthy patterns, or simply figure out how to be on the same team again.

My approach to therapy

My style is relaxed, conversational, and very human. Therapy with me isn’t about sitting through an hour of clinical jargon or wondering what your therapist is thinking. We’ll talk, laugh when it’s appropriate, work through the hard stuff, recognize patterns, and figure out what actually works for you. I take a trauma-informed and holistic approach because your mental health doesn’t exist in a bubble—relationships, experiences, stress, physical health, work, family, and everyday life all matter.

Most importantly, I want therapy to be a space where you can show up exactly as you are. You don’t need to have the perfect words, know where to start, or have everything figured out. That’s what we’re here to work on together. Solution focused and goal oriented.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know each other and figuring out what brought you to therapy—no pressure to show up with your entire life story organized and ready to go!

We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what you’d like some help with, and what you hope to get out of therapy. I’ll ask questions about your history, relationships, experiences, and what life looks like for you right now, but we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable. Especially when it comes to trauma or abuse, you are never expected to share every detail before you’re ready.

My sessions tend to feel more like a conversation than a clinical interview. You can expect a relaxed, judgment-free space where it’s okay to laugh, cry, swear, have no idea how to answer a question, or say, “I don’t know where to start.”
