Great to meet you!

Great to meet you!

As a board certified Professional Counselor, psychotherapist, I believe in prioritzing mental health for a balanced and fulfilling life. The decision to try therapy is a big one, so, congratulations on taking the first step toward feeling better! My focus is trauma therapy for adults which includes PTSD, Complex Trauma, Grief, Transitions, support for special needs parents, ADHD, addictions and mood disorders.

My approach to therapy

My approach is an integrative and collaborative one tailored to the needs, experiences and goals of each indivual. No two people or their experiences are alike so I do not believe only one set of skills will be helpful to all. That said, I believe in a holitistic approach connecting the cognitive with the physical experiences. While one client may respond to EMDR, another may find the ego parts and somatic approaches more relatable, others cognitive processing. We decided these things together.

What you can expect from me

I start with an introductory session where you will have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We'll work together to figure this out. I strive to create a safe, warm place that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, to try new things, while feeling secure and supported. I wil give you skills to try for some relief. We'll work together in the session that follow to meet your goals. Are you ready?
