Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed therapist providing telehealth services to adults in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Kansas. I've been licensed since 2014 and have experience across high-acuity settings, including residential treatment, hospitals, and community mental health.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, emotional dysregulation, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and have extensive experience supporting trans and gender-diverse clients. I also welcome clients from diverse relationship structures and lifestyles and strive to create a space where people don't have to explain, defend, or justify who they are in order to receive support.

I believe most behaviors make sense when we understand the context in which they developed. Rather than asking "What's wrong with you?" I tend to ask, "What happened, and what did your nervous system learn from it?" Together, we'll work to understand patterns, reduce shame, build practical skills, and create new ways of responding that fit the life you want to live. You don't need to shrink yourself, minimize your experiences, or have everything under control to be welcome here.

My style is affirming, inquisitive, and direct. I value honesty, collaboration, and curiosity, and I often incorporate education about trauma, attachment, emotions, and the nervous system throughout the process. You don't need to have the right words, a perfect timeline, or everything figured out before starting therapy.

Polished is optional here—I welcome your messy.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in integrative DBT, while remaining flexible to the individual in front of me. I balance structure with curiosity, helping clients build practical skills for emotional regulation, healthy relationships, and navigating distress without losing sight of context, identity, and lived experience. I also incorporate psychoeducation throughout the work, offering insight into how the nervous system, trauma responses, and patterns develop—because understanding why something is happening can reduce shame and increase self-compassion. I take the work seriously without taking people apart, and I often use warmth and appropriate humor when it helps clients feel more at ease and engaged.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a grounded, nonjudgmental first session focused on connection, understanding, and getting a sense of where you are and what you need. There will be some required questions and paperwork to satisfy insurance and administrative expectations, but those don’t define the work we’ll do together. There’s no pressure to have the “right” words or a perfectly organized story—showing up as you are is enough. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what feels most important right now, and what you’re hoping for, while moving at a pace that feels safe and manageable. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling understood, not evaluated, and confident that they don’t need to impress me to be supported.
