Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Rena Pazienza, a licensed clinical psychologist providing individual and couples counseling to teens and adults in Texas and Oregon.

My education and training has prepared me to work with a wide range of individuals with diverse backgrounds and identities. I specialize in treating grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, and compassion fatigue. I also work with individuals experiencing life transitions, stress, anxiety, overwhelm, depression and relationship issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is empathic, collaborative, and strengths-based; I aim to provide a balance of support and challenge to help you meet your goals.

As an integrative therapist, I pull from different waves of cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, and acceptance-based therapies, and use relational and skills-based approaches tailored to the individual. I have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

Whatever is bringing you to therapy today, I would welcome the opportunity to help you work towards achieving your goals. I will take the time to understand your needs, and we will work together to develop an individualized plan, backed by scientific evidence.
