Great to meet you!

I’m Rhonda Carlos-Henderson, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals find healing, resilience, and hope. My practice focuses on supporting adults and teens who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I use a compassionate, client-centered approach, blending techniques from CBT and mindfulness-based therapy to help clients build practical tools while also exploring deeper emotional growth.

I believe that therapy should be a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard and understood. Together, we’ll work at your pace, focusing on your strengths and values.

My approach to therapy

  1. Person-Centered / Humanistic
    • “I believe every person has the capacity for growth. My role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and supported.”
  2. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
    • “I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with healthier ways of thinking and coping.”
  3. Trauma-Informed
    • “I understand how past experiences can affect present struggles, and I create a gentle, supportive environment where healing can happen at your pace.”
  4. Mindfulness-Based
    • “I integrate mindfulness and grounding techniques to help clients manage stress, reduce anxiety, and stay present.”
  5. Integrative / Eclectic
    • “I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I tailor therapy to each client’s needs, drawing from approaches such as CBT, solution-focused, and person-centered therapy.”
  6. Solution-Focused
    • “I focus on helping clients build practical tools and strengths they can apply in daily life to create positive change.”
  7. Relational / Strengths-Based
    • “I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship and highlight each client’s strengths as a foundation for growth.”
