Great to meet you!

I am a devoted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and leader with over 37 years of professional social work experience walking alongside individuals and families through trauma, crisis, and restoration. My work is both a calling and a commitment, grounded in my 3 C’s of life: Chance, Choice, and Change. I am a Christian and I do not separate my faith from my professional practice, as I believe they are inseparable and mutually necessary; however, I embrace all people, productively, respectfully, and without judgment, despite their beliefs. My experience spans leadership in school social work, higher education, private practice, and community mental health, equipping me with a well-rounded and compassionate perspective. Above all, you can expect a safe, supportive, and authentic space where your story is valued and your journey toward wholeness is intentionally supported.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy begins with empowerment through building rapport. I fully believe rapport is the primary variable in achieving mutual respect, empathy, and being fully present. In other words, trust carries the conversational burden, greater than communication alone.

Rapport building is both strategic and intentional, grounded in nonjudgmental listening, creating a safe and affirming space where people are individualized, heard, and validated.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be a safe, supportive, and authentic space where their story is valued and their journey toward wholeness is intentionally supported. I am timely, focused, and intentional in my presence, and I will consistently check in to ensure they feel comfortable, heard, and engaged throughout the process. Our time together will be structured yet compassionate, allowing space for them to share at their own pace without pressure or judgment. I do not “shoot from the hip,” so they can expect evidence-based and evidence-informed discussions that are thoughtful, purposeful, and grounded in best practice. My goal is to begin building a strong, trusting foundation that supports meaningful progress from the very start.
