Great to meet you!

There are experiences in life that can change how you see yourself, the people around you, and even what the future means to you. You may be carrying the effects of trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, grieving someone important, or confronting questions about loss, mortality, culture, or identity that are difficult to put into words. You do not have to sort through all of that alone. I provide virtual individual therapy for adults and seniors, with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, cultural and ethnic issues, and end of life care. I also support clients experiencing grief and loss or difficulty managing anger when these concerns are connected to the larger challenges they are facing. With four years of experience, I aim to provide a warm but thoughtful space where difficult experiences can be explored honestly. My goal is not simply to help you feel better in the moment, but to help you understand what you are carrying, recognize what may be keeping you stuck, and identify a meaningful path forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe meaningful therapy should offer you both a place to understand what happened and practical ways to decide what comes next. Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, cultural concerns, and end of life experiences can affect the way you think, respond emotionally, and make sense of yourself and your circumstances. Anger may also emerge as part of those experiences rather than existing as an isolated problem. We’ll work to understand these connections while keeping your individual goals at the center of therapy. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy to examine thoughts and beliefs that contribute to distress, Trauma Focused CBT and Seeking Safety to support work involving painful or traumatic experiences, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy to strengthen awareness of thoughts and emotions, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Problem Solving Therapy to identify practical ways forward. My style is warm, inquisitive, and appropriately challenging, so you can expect both support and questions that encourage deeper reflection.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to arrive with the right words for everything you have experienced. We can begin by understanding what feels most important right now. During our first few sessions, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy, how your experiences are affecting your life today, and what you would like to be different. Together, we’ll develop goals that feel meaningful and determine which strategies best support those goals. You can expect me to listen carefully while also encouraging you to look more closely at patterns, beliefs, and responses that may be getting in the way of the life you want to live. Progress may mean feeling less controlled by anxiety or depression, developing healthier responses to anger, processing traumatic experiences, finding ways to carry grief, or approaching end of life concerns with greater clarity and support. Therapy can make room for both difficult realities and the possibility of meaningful change. When you are ready, you can use Headway to review your insurance information and schedule a first session.
