Richard Hanna

Welcome to Parkway Mental Health & Wellness. I'm Richard Hanna, a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, including seven years as a registered nurse. I hold a Master's of Science in Nursing with a specialty certification in psychiatric mental health across the lifespan. My clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and men’s mental health. My goal is to provide a grounded, supportive environment where you feel understood and guided toward meaningful, sustainable change.

My approach to care is grounded in empathy, non judgement, and genuine human connection. I strive to create a therapeutic environment and relationship where clients feel safe, respected, and fully heard. Together, we build a collaborative partnership that supports honest conversation, meaningful insight, and personalized treatment aligned with each client's goals.

During your first session, you can expect a comfortable, non‐judgmental environment focused on understanding your concerns, goals, and overall well‐being. We’ll explore your symptoms, history, and what led you to seek care, allowing us to build a clear picture of your needs. This visit also sets the foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship—one built on empathy, collaboration, and open communication. By the end of the session, you’ll have a sense of your individualized treatment plan and the supportive path we’ll take moving forward.
