Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and 18 years of experience in behavioral health and addiction services. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing substance use challenges, mental health concerns, life transitions, and personal struggles that can leave people feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who they want to be.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing addiction, anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, men's issues, LGBTQ+ concerns, relationship challenges, trauma, and major life transitions. I am passionate about helping clients discover their strengths, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I believe that healing happens when people feel accepted, understood, and supported. My goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment where clients can explore their experiences without judgment. No matter how difficult things may feel today, I believe there is hope for growth, healing, and recovery.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I believe therapy is most effective when it is built on trust, honesty, and a strong therapeutic relationship.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and strengths-based interventions. Together, we will identify patterns that may be holding you back, explore new perspectives, and develop practical tools to help you navigate life's challenges more effectively.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I help clients build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, improve self-worth, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. My role is to support and guide you while empowering you to create the changes you want to see.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin establishing a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and respected.

During our first session, we'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns and goals, review relevant background information, and begin identifying areas where you would like support. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and share what you hope to gain from therapy.

By the end of the session, we'll have a clearer understanding of your needs and begin creating a plan that supports your goals for healing, growth, recovery, and overall well-being. My hope is that you'll leave feeling understood, supported, and encouraged by the possibilities ahead.
