Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Michigan with over 20 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, and couples. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Rochester College and a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling and School Guidance Counseling from Wayne State University. I am also a Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and have experience teaching in a Master of Counseling program, which reflects my ongoing commitment to both clinical excellence and professional development.

In my practice, I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, family conflict, anger, and overall mental wellness. I also support clients managing stress related to work, school, changing life circumstances, and disability-related concerns. I have extensive experience working with diverse populations and incorporate cultural and spiritual awareness into the therapeutic process when appropriate.

Clients can expect me to be approachable, respectful, and attentive. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where individuals feel comfortable sharing openly, while also being guided toward greater self-awareness, practical solutions, and meaningful personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Family Systems approaches as well as extensive experience in faith based therapy when requested while also integrating practical strategies that support real-life application. I believe therapy should address both emotional insight and actionable solutions. I work alongside clients to better understand patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, improve relationships, and navigate life transitions with greater clarity and confidence.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment focused on understanding their needs, concerns, and goals. We will discuss what brings them to therapy, explore relevant background information, and begin identifying areas of focus for treatment. I also take time to answer any questions about the process to ensure clients feel informed and comfortable. The initial session is paced to build trust and establish a foundation for a productive therapeutic relationship moving forward.
