Great to meet you!

Ofrezco sesiones en español y en inglés — I am a clinical social worker with 15 years of experience in private practice, specializing in trauma, anxiety, and depression. I have a degree in Anthropology from UNC Chapel Hill and a Master’s in Social Work. My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and culturally sensitive, shaped by years living in Colombia, Egypt, India, and the U.S. I work with adults, helping them navigate life transitions, self-worth, and daily stressors.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, helping clients understand how past experiences and relationship patterns influence their present lives. At the same time, I believe therapy should provide practical tools for creating meaningful change. I take a collaborative, warm, and empathetic approach, working alongside my clients to identify their strengths, overcome challenges, and develop effective strategies for moving forward. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where adults feel heard, understood, and empowered to make lasting changes that align with their goals and values.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and the goals you’d like to achieve. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether we’re a good fit. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin developing a personalized treatment plan that reflects your unique needs, strengths, and goals.
