Great to meet you!

I'm Dr. Rodrigo Munoz, a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PsyD) and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) providing telehealth therapy to adults across New York, Texas, Colorado, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Delaware. My dual training means I'm equipped to treat the whole person — including those navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges, which often go hand-in-hand and require an integrated approach.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, and co-occurring disorders. Whether you're managing persistent worry, working through a painful past, struggling with low mood, or trying to make sense of patterns that keep showing up in your life, I'm here to help you find clarity and build real, lasting change.

Choosing to begin therapy is a courageous step, and I want to honor that. This is a space where you will feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported — not judged, not rushed, and never lectured.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practice. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and trauma-informed care — adapting the work to what actually fits you, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to bring psychological tools, clinical insight, and a steady presence to the work we do together. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you, building on your strengths while developing new strategies for the challenges you're facing.

What you can expect from me

You can expect consistency, honesty, and genuine investment in your progress. Sessions are conducted entirely via telehealth, so you can access care from wherever you are — no commute, no waiting room, no barriers.

From your very first session, I'll work to understand your full picture: your history, your goals, and what has and hasn't worked before. We'll build a clear direction together and adjust as you grow. Whether you're coming in during a crisis or looking for longer-term support, I'll meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.
