Great to meet you!

Greetings! I'm hopeful that I can be of help in your process. In my clinical practice, I focus on understanding and appreciating my clients' individual human experiences. I graduated at the top of my class from East Carolina University in 2016, going on to earn independent licenses as an LCSW and LCAS. My journey with human services began at age 18 when volunteering with a local crisis counseling agency. Since then, I've worked with multiple populations in a variety of clinical settings.

My approach to therapy

I currently employ elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other approaches to address my client's individual needs. In addition, I have previous training in elements of psychodynamic approaches, and have recently completed training in EMDR to address trauma.

What you can expect from me

My goals for every client interaction are for you to feel: heard, respected, and validated as a person. If you have specific goals in mind, we will certainly examine those; but it's ok if you're trying therapy for the first time or are looking for general support with life's challenges. My clinical training has continually reinforced this truth: the therapeutic alliance is the most important component to change.
