Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 25 years of nursing experience. I began my career as a Registered Nurse in 1999 and have worked across a variety of medical settings which has deeply shaped my understanding of the connection between physical and mental health. I became a Nurse Practitioner in 2017, expanding my ability to provide comprehensive psychiatric care across the lifespan.

I believe mental health care should be compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I take time to listen carefully and understand each person’s story, symptoms, medical background, and goals. My background in nursing allows me to thoughtfully consider how physical health and psychiatric symptoms interact, ensuring safe and holistic treatment planning.

My approach to therapy

With over 25 years in nursing and experience in both medical and psychiatric settings, I understand how closely mental and physical health are connected. I take a thoughtful, whole-person approach—carefully considering medical history, life stressors, and personal goals when developing treatment plans. I also have a personal connection to neurodiversity as the mom of a son with autism spectrum disorder. This has deepened my understanding of the unique strengths and challenges individuals and families may face and informs my compassionate, respectful approach to care.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, collaborative working relationship. I create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly about what’s been bringing you in. Together, we will clarify your goals for treatment—whether that’s reducing anxiety, improving mood, stabilizing symptoms, improving sleep, or navigating a major life or health transition.

By the end of the first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of your symptoms, an initial treatment plan, and a path forward that feels collaborative and aligned with your needs.
