Great to meet you!
Hi! My name is Rory Ayotte and I am a licensed social worker in Michigan and Indiana. I have over 16 years of experience working with individuals and families in the school, child welfare and mental health setting. Helping others achieve their mental health and wellness goals is my passion. I have extensive experience in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, life changes, stress management, relationship issues, healthy communication and boundary setting.
I am also a parent and understand the stressors that parents and children face on a regular basis. When working with children, communication with the parents or guardian is vital, while protecting confidentiality of things discussed in therapy. My role when working with children is to help coach and mentor parents with communication and supporting their child's needs. When working with adults, I help normalize the struggles that exist in parenthood or adulthood as a whole and encourage clients to look beyond what they think is expected by society's standard and recognize that everyone has their struggles-we all just carry it differently.
I use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), solution focused therapy, and strength based therapy. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with an emphasis on Family Systems and a double minor in Sociology and Human Sexuality.
