Great to meet you!

Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker with 10 years of clinical experience. Though I consider myself a generalist having worked in multiple settings with a range of issues, my niches include anxiety, depression, ADHD, and eating and body image concerns. These are issues I have personal experience with, and the tools I offer are ones I practice myself.

I am passionate about helping people reduce burnout, and develop a flexible relationship with food and the body, based on hunger, your schedule, accessibility to food and your feelings. The body changes based on age, injury, activity level and other things, and I understand that it can be hard to be kind to ourselves, given the culture we live in.

I aim to be non-judgmental, upfront, and supportive.

My approach to therapy

My approach to treatment is collaborative, individualized, and integrative, grounded in evidence based therapies that examine the influence amongst our thoughts, behaviors and emotions.

We'll explore the problems you're dealing with and how you currently manage them, and what you hope is different about your life. Sometimes people are looking for therapy to help them make change in their lives, while others are looking for support, accountability, and a professional to assist them in preventing stress from building up. Whatever it is you're looking for, I will listen and ask questions, provide tools and/or listening and validation, based on what you're looking for.

What you can expect from me

I will send paperwork through my Practice portal before a first session, so that I know a bit about you before we get started. The first session is a chance for me to explore what brought you here, what's going on recently, and what you hope to get out of therapy. The first session also gives you a chance to see what working with me feels like. We will go at your own pace, as building trust is needed for therapy to be effective. I try to ask if there's anything you'd like to leave with that you don't feel you came in with, to increase the likelihood that your time is being used in a meaningful way. Feel free to message me with questions.
