Great to meet you!

I have been helping individuals, couples, and families for over 30 years—first as a pastor and since 2014 as a professional counselor. With a Master’s in Counseling, and life experience from 34 years of marriage and raising seven children, I bring both professional training and personal understanding to my work.

I specialize in relationship concerns, attachment issues, trauma, depression, and anxiety. My approach is holistic, addressing mind, heart, body, and soul, with the goal of helping clients strengthen connections, heal from challenges, and build healthier lives.

My approach to therapy

I approach each client with curiosity, acceptance, and empathy, creating a safe space to explore both challenges and strengths, as well as hopes for change. I draw from EMDR and Lifespan Integration to address root issues, while also incorporating CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to promote practical, lasting changes in thought patterns and behavior. All of this is grounded in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), helping clients develop emotional regulation skills that support healthy relationships and long-term growth.

What you can expect from me

Your first visit is all about creating a comfortable, collaborative foundation for our work together. We’ll take time to talk through what brings you to counseling, what you hope to work on, and the changes you’d like to see in yourself or your life. I’ll share how I approach these concerns and together we’ll explore whether this feels like a good fit. You’ll have space to ask questions, offer feedback, and discuss what you need from the process. We’ll also go over practical details like session frequency and payment or insurance options so you can feel clear and supported as we begin.
