Great to meet you!

Obviously, something's not right; that’s why you’re looking for a therapist. You may feel stuck, and of your own accord or at the recommendation of a trusted person in your life, you have decided to start a season of therapy to get some help.

There is no “one journey” to healing. All stories go through pain and suffering, and because each person's pain is unique, so too is their process of healing.

My ultimate goal for you as a therapist, is to help you find the words to express your internal experience, understand what it is and why it’s there, and make the changes that will build relational and emotional health long-term.

I love the wide range of people and stories that I get to encounter. I am particularly drawn to the deep work of grief and trauma therapy because it deals with the biggest questions of life.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a number of evidence-based theories in working with clients, because therapy isn’t a one approach fits all experience. Some include parts work, cognitive behavioral theory, psychodynamic, and EMDR.

No matter what theory I’m using, my goal is to help you develop a language for understanding and articulating your internal experience of thoughts, sensations and emotions, and how to develop to reach your goals.

What you can expect from me

Working together, we will meet weekly to map your story and develop skills you need to achieve your goals.

In between sessions you work to apply change you make in session to your “real life” relationships and struggles.

The ultimate goal is to live your life restored and free in reality, no longer trying to escape it. Then you are able to be present and accept life and live moment by moment, finding meaning for every experience in your story.
