Great to meet you!

Hi! Im Ryan Bell, an LCMHC, and I have been working with young adults, adolescents and their families for over 15 years in a variety of settings, from boarding schools to homeless shelters, to wilderness therapy. I have had extensive experience in supporting anxiety, depression, crisis interventions, trauma, and behavioral concerns in adolescents, while supporting parents in their personal journeys to figure out how to put their own oxygen mask on before they can help themselves.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe in the power of connection, as well as the power of the outdoors. The stories we tell ourselves and environment we live in do a great job of interfering with those connections. Working primarily with values driven ACT, person centered, CBT, mindfulness, solution focused, and narrative based modalities. And I personally enjoy exploring these things outside of a small room. A walk in the park while we talk is always welcome on my end as long as you find the same value in it as I do.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to find connection, as change happens through connection. If you are able to feel safe and seen on your first session, then we have set the groundwork to start exploring. Maybe exploring that day is diving into deeper work, maybe its learning to just enjoying being here in the moment as we learn to let go and just be (I know our it's hard to stop the spinning thoughts sometimes, but we can work on that.) I look forward to exploring that what it is you need.
