Great to meet you!

I am the founder and owner or RKM Counseling. For the past 15 years I have worked as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, helping clients through both extremely challenging circumstances and daily struggles with life. In 2008, I obtained my Masters degree in Counseling from the #2 nationally ranked counseling program. I specialize in grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety and depression.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I firmly believe that feeling safe and connected with your therapist is foundational to making therapy a success. Everyone has a story and listening to yours and hearing about what is and isn't working will serve as the base of our first session. I am interactive, empowering and curious as a counselor.

What you can expect from our first session

While talk therapy certainly helps to uncover the source and impact of issues you are experiencing, setting goals and taking action is a step that often is underutilized in therapy. Collaboratively setting goals after a session has proved to increase the resolution of the issues and move clients closer to the life they are looking for.
