Raised in Brooklyn, NY and surrounded by diversity and culture, I bring a grounded, culturally responsive lens to therapy that honors lived experience, emotional nuance, and identity. Now practicing in Michigan, I’m passionate about holding space for individuals who have spent years carrying emotional weight in silence—often appearing strong on the outside while struggling internally with overwhelm, burnout, or unresolved trauma.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University, where I focused on trauma, family systems, and cognitive behavioral approaches. I also hold a Bachelor’s in Social Work with a concentration in child welfare from Medgar Evers College, and an Associate’s in Early Childhood Education from Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, NY.
My approach to therapy is honest, collaborative, and rooted in both cultural awareness and emotional truth. I don’t believe in surface-level conversations or one-size-fits-all strategies. Instead, I meet clients where they are—emotionally, spiritually, and culturally—and help them build a deeper understanding of what they’re carrying and why.
I use a blend of Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and narrative work, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the person in front of me. I bring a direct yet compassionate style to therapy, offering space for reflection, challenge, and real growth. Whether we’re untangling family patterns, processing relational trauma, or building healthier boundaries, I hold space without judgment—and with deep respect for your lived experience.
I believe therapy should be both grounding and empowering. Together, we’ll make space for your truth, reconnect with your voice, and move toward emotional alignment—not just symptom relief. The goal isn’t to become someone else—it’s to feel safe being fully yourself.
Clients can expect to walk away from sessions with more clarity, emotional validation, and practical tools to support real change—not just in how they feel, but in how they live. My sessions are a space to unpack what’s been buried, name what’s been denied, and begin rewriting the stories that no longer serve you.
You won’t just vent—you’ll leave with insight and action. That might mean understanding your triggers more clearly, identifying emotional patterns in your relationships, or learning how to regulate your nervous system and set boundaries that actually stick.
Over time, clients begin to feel less emotionally overextended and more grounded in who they are. They start to trust their own voice, honor their needs, and create space for peace—not just productivity. Our work together helps you move from survival mode into a more embodied, intentional way of living.
