Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) dedicated to supporting others during times of feeling anxious, depressed, or in times of significant life transitions or relationship changes. I am a native Oregonian, born and raised in Portland. I received a Master of Social Work from Portland State University, and have been a licensed practitioner since 2003. My professional background includes training in psychotherapy at The Grotto Counseling Center, as well as further clinical training at the VA Portland Health Care System.

My approach to therapy

I know life can be challenging sometimes and even overwhelming. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental environment where you can share openly and talk through whatever is on your mind. Together we will work toward moving you forward from where you are now, whether that's toward finding relief, reaching stability, or getting to the other side of a difficult situation.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating or even scary, which makes it all the more important to me that you feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning. Since we are just starting out, we will spend some time getting to know each other, address any questions you may have about the process, and as you feel ready, talk about what brought you to therapy and how it may be helpful to you. By the time we close our meeting, we should have a sense of what your goals are and a plan for next steps.
