Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Ryann. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience in the field, including work in community mental health, developmental disability services, and more than a decade in hospice and palliative care. Those experiences shape the steadiness and non-judgmental presence I bring to therapy today.

I work primarily with women, LGBTQIA+ adults, neurodivergent adults, and older adults navigating relational harm, grief, loss, and major life transitions. Relational harm may include painful childhood experiences, controlling or abusive relationships, or environments and systems marked by discrimination, racism, ableism, anti-LGBTQIA+ bias, or chronic invalidation.

My approach to therapy

My work is attachment-based and evidence-informed, with a particular focus on developmental and relational trauma, grief, and loss. Many of the people I work with have spent years adapting to relationships, environments, or systems that taught them to question their worth, hide parts of who they are, or carry too much alone.

In therapy with me, your story is met with deep warmth, curiosity, respect, and an unwavering regard for your dignity. Together, we’ll make sense of what has shaped you and explore what it means to live with greater freedom, dignity, and connection to what matters most to you. I bring compassionate presence, honesty, and, when it fits, humor—because sometimes laughter helps loosen shame and deepen connection.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to begin understanding you, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope might be different. You won’t need to convince me that what you’ve lived through matters, and there is no expectation that you tell your whole story at once.

We’ll begin making sense of what has shaped you and identifying what feels most important for us to understand and work toward together. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and fully human. We’ll move at a pace that respects both where you are and where you hope to go.
