Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Saba Rastegar, a doctoral-prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

My career has always centered on supporting women and mothers. I have had the privilege of caring for women across many stages and settings, from supporting new mothers during their first few days in the hospital as a postpartum nurse, to providing in-home support during the early postpartum months, and offering specialized lactation and psychiatric care.

Through these experiences, I've developed a passion for women's mental health, especially during pregnancy, postpartum, and the many changes that come with motherhood. I treat perinatal depression and anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, and ADHD.

As a mom of two young daughters myself, I understand the unique joys and challenges of motherhood. My own experience has deeply shaped the way I listen, connect, and care for my patients.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing what you’re going through without feeling judged. I want to listen to your concerns and work with you to find an approach that fits your needs. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own, and I would love to help support you along the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I take time to understand your experiences, symptoms, health history, and the demands of your daily life so we can explore what may be contributing to how you feel. I recognize that mental health is influenced by many factors, including life transitions, physical health, relationships, stress, and hormonal changes.

Together, we’ll develop a plan that reflects your needs and goals. My integrative approach combines medication management, psychotherapy, education, and practical strategies to support your overall well-being. I value open communication and want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing concerns, and participating actively in decisions about your care.

What you can expect from me

During our first appointment, I want to get to know you and understand how you are feeling. Initial visits are typically 60-90 minutes, allowing us to review your history in detail and discuss your goals and treatment options together. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, respected, and heard throughout the process.
