Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, Board Certified Clinical Sexologist, and trauma specialist with a PhD in Forensic Psychology–Victimology and advanced training in clinical sexology. I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate trauma, intimacy, sexuality, relationship challenges, shame, and the complicated ways our past experiences can follow us into our present relationships. My style is warm, energetic, collaborative, and refreshingly human—you can expect compassion and humor, but also honest conversations that help you move forward. Sex, trauma, and relationships can be complicated; talking about them shouldn’t have to be.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, active, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when you feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to be challenged. I integrate trauma-informed care with cognitive-behavioral, attachment-based, and sex therapy approaches to help clients understand not only what they are experiencing, but the patterns underneath it. You can expect me to listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions, offer practical tools, and bring humor into the room when it fits. Whether we are working through trauma, rebuilding intimacy, or navigating relationship challenges, therapy with me is a conversation—not an interrogation and definitely not 50 minutes of me silently nodding.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you—not just your symptoms, but the person behind them. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what feels most important right now, and what you would like your life, relationships, or intimacy to look like if therapy is successful. I create a relaxed, judgment-free environment where difficult topics—including trauma, sex, relationships, and shame—can be discussed openly and at your pace. By the end of our first few sessions, we’ll have a clear sense of what we’re working toward and a plan for how we’ll get there together.
