Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sally Amaya, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to clients across California and Hawaii, with licensure expanding soon to Washington and Oregon. I offer sessions in both English and Spanish and work with adolescents, adults, and seniors.

I support clients navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, bipolar disorder, maternal mental health, and challenges related to the military lifestyle. I also bring a personal understanding of what it means to prioritize well-being and manage stress after going through my own life-changing health journey. That experience helps me connect with clients in a more grounded and empathetic way.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in compassion, flexibility, and intentional living. I view therapy as a partnership where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change at your own pace. I aim to meet you where you are, while also gently guiding you toward growth in a way that feels sustainable and aligned with your values.

I tailor each session to your individual needs and goals, whether you’re working through a difficult period, adjusting to a new chapter, or managing an ongoing mental health condition. My goal is to help you build a life that feels more balanced, grounded, and connected—while supporting you in making changes that feel authentic and lasting.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your background, current challenges, and what you’re hoping to get out of this process so I can better understand how to support you.

You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you’ll have the opportunity to share as much or as little as you’d like. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and outlining a direction for our work.

I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on this journey.
