Great to meet you!

Hi there! Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Samantha Scott, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Glad to meet you. I am an eclectic therapist who truly believes that everyone deserves a safe space to be heard. I work with adults of all ages, from 18 all the way up to 98 years young. No matter where you are in your life journey, I am here to meet you exactly as you are today.

I went to school for a long time to make sure I could give you the best support possible!

  • Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice (Human Services focus)
  • Associate Degree in Criminal Justice

In our sessions, I blend different tools like Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. This just means we will focus on your goals, look at how your thoughts affect your feelings, and find your inner strength to make a change.

My approach to therapy

Forget what you see on television! Real therapy isn't about lecturing you. It is a warm, comfortable conversation.

  • You are the expert on your own life.
  • I am your partner in sorting through the hard stuff.
  • We work together to find creative ways to beat challenges.
  • My ultimate goal is to empower you to move forward.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about comfort and connection. There is no pressure and no judgment. We will just get to know each other at your own pace.

  • We will review the initial paperwork together quickly.
  • We will discuss privacy and confidentiality rules clearly.
  • You can ask any questions about how I work.
  • You will share what brings you into therapy today.
  • We will talk about the challenges causing you distress.
  • You control exactly how much you want to share.
  • We will explore your main goals for our time.
  • We will collaborate on a flexible plan for you.
  • You will leave with a sense of next steps.

Keep in mind that it's okay to laugh, laughter is the best medicine & stress reliever made. We will probably go there also :)
