Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Samantha, I have been a social worker for over 3 years, providing services to youth, college age students, and young adults. I have my MSW from Boston College where I specialized in children, youth, and families as well as mental health. I also received a certificate in trauma treatment from BC.

I work mostly with youth, adolescents, and young adults navigating general stress, anxiety, and all the challenges that come with being a kid/young adult in the 21st century.

I have experience working within the special education system. I utilize a strength based approach, pulling from CBT and play therapy. I also utilize mindfulness techniques.

My approach to therapy

I take a teamwork approach to therapy. We work together to identify and navigate the goals that brought you to therapy. My work is grounded in honesty, creativity, and humor. I believe therapy works when it feels safe and engaging while also being clear and direct when it matters. My goal as a therapist is to incorporate fun while doing meaningful work.

What you can expect from me

The first session will be spent getting a better understanding of what brought you to therapy in the first place. We will began identifying goals as well as identifying what is working well for you right now to navigate things. Depending on your age, I also welcome input from parents or caregivers if appropriate.
