Great to meet you!

I never wanted to be a therapist. I never even wanted to go back to graduate school. I graduated with my Master's in Social Work and loved working as a school social worker until the COVID-19 pandemic brought everything to a screeching halt. A colleague suggested I join her therapy practice and take on a few clients just so I could keep my skills fresh. Turns out, I loved it then and I love it now!

My approach to therapy

I take a straight forward, but warm approach to therapy. I am trained in many types of therapy, but I prioritize building a strong relationship with you above anything else. I spend a lot of time getting to know you and then I stitch together different therapy techniques in a way that fits your unique needs. Sometimes we will cry and sometimes we will laugh until we cry; at the end of the day, I'm just a person like you!

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about gathering information. We will spend the hour discussing everything from your living situation, eating/sleep habits, medication history, to your current problems. I like to get a very clear picture of what your life looks like so we can work on creating goals that fit your needs.
