Great to meet you!

Mary Oliver asked, “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” I would like to help you access whatever that opens up for you, and to help you feel better. One way that I think about what "feeling better" means is to help you literally become "better at feeling" – better at discerning, accepting and directing your own feelings and thoughts. This can be life changing in facing the human task of surviving everything from everyday to extreme struggles. Another quote sums up my philosophy, "Homo sum: humani nil a me alienum puto" which means "I am human: nothing human is alien to me."

My approach to therapy

I use evidence-based practices including EMDR, CBT, DBT and motivational interviewing, tailored to your specific needs to effectively help you get the relief and progress needed. I have over a decade of experience weaving together the interventions that work in a creative way (I also offer art therapy interventions, if that speaks to you!). I have a lot of possibilities to try with you, and I'd like to offer fresh hope towards real change!

What you can expect from me

Shame is commonly the biggest barrier to finding support to resolve our problems, but seeking resolution without the proper support can feel defeating and leave people feeling lost and stuck. I can provide a professional sounding board for fresh insight leading to progress. This is challenging work, and I will be there to support you through it with attentive consideration and compassion. Through this process we can connect and form a deeper shared understanding of the select threads that emerge as most important to you and follow them towards your personal growth. In-person + virtual evening availability!
