Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Samantha Tippit, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) passionate about helping children, adolescents, and adults better understand their mental health and feel like themselves again. I specialize in ADHD, depression, anxiety, and women’s mental health, with a particular passion for ADHD across the lifespan—from children and adolescents learning to navigate school, relationships, and everyday life to adults who may have spent years feeling overwhelmed or misunderstood. I believe ADHD treatment should go beyond managing symptoms by helping you understand how your brain works, recognize your strengths, and find strategies that truly improve your daily life. Women’s mental health is also especially close to my heart; before becoming a PMHNP, I spent more than eight years as a Labor & Delivery nurse caring for women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, which inspired my passion for perinatal and postpartum depression and anxiety. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University and now provide individualized, collaborative psychiatric evaluation and medication management designed around each patient’s unique needs and goals.

My approach to therapy

I want my patients to feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported. Mental health care should never feel rushed, judgmental, or one-size-fits-all. I like to think of myself as your nonjudgmental mental health cheerleader—someone in your corner through both the progress and the harder days. Together, we may incorporate medication management, supportive talk therapy, lifestyle changes, lab work, and overall wellness, because I believe mental and physical health go hand in hand. I strive to offer flexible care that fits into your real life and meets you where you are. Above all, your care is collaborative—you know yourself best, and I bring my clinical knowledge so we can make decisions together and help you leave each visit feeling heard, informed, supported, and hopeful.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you—not just your symptoms or diagnosis. We’ll talk about what brought you in, your mental and physical health, medications, sleep, lifestyle, school or work, and what you hope to gain from treatment. My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where you feel heard and never rushed. Together, we’ll develop an individualized plan that may include medication, supportive therapy, lifestyle and wellness goals, lab work, or other resources. With telehealth, you can meet from a space where you feel comfortable. You don’t need to have the right words or everything figured out—just show up as you are, and we’ll take it from there together.
