Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 12+ years experience in various healthcare settings. I have worked with folks with many different chronic and terminal illness while managing how those diseases impact their mental health and vice versa. I specialize in working with women with gynecological issues such as PCOS, endometriosis and other chronic illnesses that impact hormones.

My approach to therapy

I am a true New Englander with my direct, yet humorous approach to most things including therapy. I typically use cognitive-behavioral techniques (fancy terms for looking at what your brain is thinking and what you are doing about those thoughts) to help make sure we can help you reach your goals. I often add in Acceptance and Commitment techniques that help you to find acceptance, review your personal values and commit to action to make the changes you are hoping for.

What you can expect from me

My hope is to work with clients who have been struggling with behavioral changes needed to improve their physical health. Together we can work to address the things that are getting in the way of you feeling your best physically and mentally. This might include working alongside other medical providers you have to ensure you are getting a comprehensive, holistic approach.
