Great to meet you!

My name is Sara, I use she/her pronouns and I tell all my new clients I am a queer, millennial, with ADHD. This informs how I see the world and can help inform who is a best fit to practice with me.

I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington, have been offering private practice therapy for almost 5 year. Before that I worked for the State of Washington's Developmental Disabilities Administration for 5 years. It matters to me to be of service in my community. I am licensed to practice therapy in both Washington and Oregon.

I have a strong passion for serving queer individuals and young people.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to be collaborative. I will always ask you "what do you want to work on today?" because therapy is your space to meet your needs. I will never be in control of how that process unfolds - we will do it together. My preferred work in therapy addresses emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance.

What you can expect from me

I am passionate about care that serves the whole individual and am especially interested in skills-based work so that individuals walk away with strategies to make their lives better. I utilize the following models most often in the mental health services that I provide: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Therapy.
