Great to meet you!

If you’re someone who looks like you’re holding it all together but internally feels overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or emotionally exhausted, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. I’m Sara Huyser, LMSW, and I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, medical issues, life transitions, identity concerns, relationship challenges, and the pressures that come with trying to manage everything on your own. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, feel understood, and make sense of what you’re experiencing.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I believe you are the expert on your own life, while my role is to bring clinical knowledge, perspective, and tools to help you understand patterns and create meaningful change. I draw from evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we’ll explore what may be keeping you stuck while building practical strategies that support greater emotional regulation, self-awareness, and connection.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me is a place to be honest without having to have everything figured out first. You can expect to feel heard, respected, and supported while also being gently challenged when that can help you move forward. My hope is that you leave sessions with greater clarity about yourself and your relationships, practical tools for navigating difficult emotions and situations, and a stronger sense of confidence in your ability to handle what comes next.
