Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy in North Carolina. I have experience working with people with a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. My approach to therapy is client-centered and based on the belief that each person has the potential to access the transformative powers of healing within themselves and to live fully.

My approach to therapy

I practice client-centered therapy. This means that the experience of the client is deeply respected and that clients determine what they want to work on and how. My role is to provide compassionate support and to assist you as you realize your goals. Evidence-based practices such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and somatic therapies, and Psychodynamic Therapy are among the modalities I use. Therapeutic techniques are tailored to the unique strengths, needs, and growth potentialities of each individual client.

What you can expect from me

Most clients are experts on what will improve their lives and what has and hasn’t worked in the past. Therapeutic goals are arrived at collaboratively, with a focus on practical improvements that can lead to a more fulfilling life. Our initial sessions will provide you with immediate skills to lessen distressful symptoms. As your symptoms become more manageable, we will work together to process past events and to open pathways to transformative healing.
