Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in New Mexico with a background in art therapy and counseling. Since 2020, I’ve supported children, teens, and adults in therapeutic settings as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life’s many transitions.

I believe each person brings their own story, strengths, and ways of making meaning. My approach is warm, curious, and collaborative, and I value building a genuine relationship where you can feel heard and explore what matters to you.

Alongside conversation, I’m drawn to incorporating creativity, art-making, gentle body-based practices, and guided visualizations when they feel supportive to you. There’s no need to consider yourself an artist or have experience with any of these practices—we can explore together and find what feels right for you.

I use an AI-assisted tool to help with clinical note-taking and will discuss how it works with you before we begin.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, creative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own experiences. I aim to meet you where you are, with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment. Together, we can explore the patterns, experiences, and emotions that may be affecting your life, while also recognizing the strengths and wisdom you already carry.

Depending on your interests and needs, our sessions may include conversation, art-making, guided visualization, or gentle body-based practices influenced by my background in yoga. We’ll move at a pace that feels supportive to you, with space to ask questions, express yourself, and discover what helps you feel more connected to yourself.

Whether you’re new to therapy or returning to it, my hope is to create a space where you can show up as you are and feel supported in finding your own way forward.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable foundation for our work together. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, a little about your history, and what you hope might feel different. You’re welcome to share at your own pace, and there’s no expectation that you have everything figured out.

We’ll also talk about what to expect from therapy, including confidentiality, questions you may have, and practical details. Together, we can begin exploring your goals and what kind of support feels helpful to you. My hope is that you leave with a sense of who I am, how we might work together, and space to decide whether it feels like a good fit.
